Farooq Khan interacts with medalists of 20 KM Mass-Start Cycling competition

JAMMU: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Farooq Khan today interacted with Mohammad Ismail and Parvez Ahmad, who recently won Gold and Bronze medals in 20 KM Mass-Start Cycling competition held at Mumbai.

While interacting with the Cyclists, hailing from J&K, Advisor Khan asked them to prepare for participation in big international events.

The Advisor on the occasion stressed on the need to create bigger platforms for young sportsmen to display their talent and skills besides promoting the local talent at higher level.

The Advisor assured both cyclists all possible support and maintained that UT administration is committed to provide the best avenues and infrastructure for the sports-loving youth of J&K.

He also emphasized upon the need to encourage the youth to take up sports for developing leadership qualities and character building for better future.

President Cycling Association of J&K, Ravinder Singh; General Secretary, S.S Gill; Associate Secretary, Om Prakash Sharma and Treasurer Ravi Salgotra were also present on the occasion.
