Army organizes foundation stone laying ceremony of Parivar School in Baramulla

Srinagar: A foundation stone laying ceremony of a new Parivaar School building was organised on Wednesday by Teevra Drishti unit under Baramulla Division.

The foundation stone was laid by Punit Balan in presence of Dharam Gurus.

According to the Chinar Media spokesperson, the infrastructure of the Parivaar School will be developed jointly by Baramulla Division and Indrani Balan Foundation, Pune.  “Maj Gen Virendra Vats, General Officer Commanding Baramulla Division, Brig Amit Dhir, Punit Balan, Trustee Indrani Balan Foundation & CMD Punit Balan Group and Janhvi Dhariwal from Indrani Balan Foundation were present on the occasion.”

“Parivaar School is being run by Baramulla Division since October 2017 for specially-abled children. Indrani Balan Foundation, a Pune based NGO has taken an initiative to support Parivaar School by supporting the creation of new infrastructure and routine functioning of the school,” the spokesperson said.

“Major General Virendra Vats appreciated noble step taken by the Indrani Balan Foundation for the Awam of Baramulla and emphasized that it is a great initiative in the field of supporting special children. Balan affirmed that his NGO will continue to work in the field of education in Kashmir valley,” he said.

“Mesmerizing & soul-stirring cultural programmes were performed by the special children of Parivaar School. A drawing competition was also organised on the occasion and best three drawings were awarded. Ms Aayat secured the first position in the competition. Army has always maintained a great connect with the local people & this is yet another instance of Army supporting these children who are often neglected by the society,” he added.
