Surprise inspections of 40 Health Institutions conducted in Baramulla

Baramulla: With an aim to strengthen the accountability of govt employees working in different health institutions in Baramulla district, surprise inspections of different health institutions were conducted today across the district.

The inspections were conducted by concerned SDMs on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Mohammad, Aijaz Asad. In Sopore, the inspection was conducted by the concerned ADC.

During the inspections, 43 officials were found absent from their duties. The details of all the absentees have been submitted to the DC who ordered withholding of their salary.

It is pertinent to mention that the health institutions that were inspected include 06 in Pattan, 07 in Tangmarg, 13 in Sopore, 05 in Baramulla and 09 in Uri medical block.

The officials found absent include 4 in Pattan, 7 in Tangmarg, 23 in Sopore, 08 in Baramulla and 01 in Uri.

The Deputy Commissioner said that such an exercise will continue to instil regularity and discipline in government institutions for effective public service delivery.

DC Baramulla had interacted with patients and their attendants during his surprise visit to GMC Baramulla and Trauma Hospital Pattan where he directed all concerned officials to ensure requisite medical services especially during night hours.
