Hafeez, Zargar condole demise of Qamrain’s mother

Srinagar: Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG), Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) besides several other media and political groups have condoled the demise of the father of  Masood Hussain, Editor, Kashmir Life and mother of Nazir Massodi of NDTV.

Masood Hussain’s father, Gull Hassan Wani a resident of Gehend village of Shopian district was unwell for some time and was admitted in SKIMS on Wednesday where he breathed his last today morning.

In a condolence message KEG expressed grief over Wani’s demise.

“KEG stands with Masood Hussain in this hour of grief and expresses solidarity with the bereaved family,” a statement issued here today said.

KEG also condoled the demise of the mother of Nazir Masoodi who passed away Friday evening.

“KEG stands with Nazir Masoodi in this hour of grief and expresses solidarity with the bereaved family,” a statement issued said.

Director Information and Public Relations, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar has also condoled the sad demises of father of Masood Hussain, and Mother of Nazir Masoodi.

In this connection, a condolence meet was held in the office chambers of Director Information in which all the officers participated. Dr. Sehrish and other participants expressed deep sorrow and grief over their demises, a statement issued by DIPR said.

Dr. Sehrish also offered her deepest condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and courage for the bereaved families to bear their irreparable losses, added the statement.

Kashmir Press Club, Kashmir News Service, National Conference, PDP, Peoples Conference, CPI(M) and Apni Party besides several socio-political groups condoled the demises and expressed solidarity with the bereaved.

Kashmir Images team, while expressing solidarity with Masood Hussain and Nazir Masoodi, prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls.
