COVID-19 vaccine dry run held in Kulgam

KULGAM: The District Administration Kulgam today organised a dry run of Covid-19 vaccine in the district to assess operational feasibility, to test the linkages between planning and implementation, and identify the challenges prior to actual implementation of COVID-19 vaccinations here.

The whole process was carried out under the supervision of CMO Kulgam, Dr. Fazil Ali Kochak and was carried out at District Hospital Kulgam and Yaripora Hospital.

While sharing the details, the CMO said that the sole purpose of this dry run is to ensure smooth conduct of Covid-19 vaccinations and to check and fill the gaps if any imperative for conducting Covid-19 vaccinations smoothly and successfully in the district.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kulgam, Muzaffar Ahmad, Dy. CMO, BMO Kulgam and other officers were present on the occasion.

Later, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat also chaired a meeting of District Level Task Force members here at Mini-Secretariat.

During the meeting, DDC took a detailed review of the dry- run held today and enquired about the gaps that were observed and needed to be polished.

The CMO informed the DDC in detail about the observations recorded during the dry-run of Covid-19 vaccine.

The DDC stressed to ensure that there shall be no lapse in arrangements at any level.

The meeting was informed that the process of vaccination will be carried out phase wise in the district and it was also informed that Co-Win is a mobile app that will help to monitor the entire vaccination process.

The meeting was attended by ADC, ACR, CMO and other concerned Officers.
