SRINAGAR: Two victorious candidates Fazildin Deedaad and Abdul Rashid Lone who won recently concluded District Development Council (DDC) elections from Shopian district on Thursday joined Apni Party at its office in Lal Chowk Srinagar, a party spokesman said.

He said that Fazildin Deedaad had contested and won DDC elections from Kellar-I of Shopian district. The Apni Party had not fielded its own candidate from Kellar-I and had instead extended its full support to Deedaad in this election.

Similarly, Abdul Rashid Lone had contested and won DDC elections from Harmain-II district Shopian where he marked a significant win, said the spokesman.

“Both these victorious candidates joined the Apni Party in presence of Party president Altaf Bukhari who welcomed them into the party-fold. He assured them of full support in ensuring a holistic development of their constituencies,” added the spokesman.
