Baramulla: Gun shots were heard after government forces launched cordon and search operation in Wanigam Payeen area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday morning.
Sources said that joint team of Police, Army and CRPF has cordoned off suspected spot where two ‘Jaish-e Mohmmad’ militants are believed to be trapped.
A top police official said that some speculative fire were also shot towards the suspected spot, however there was no response from militants as of now.
No exchange of firing has been reported till this report was being filed.
