While BJP is celebrating the victory of three seats in Kashmir Valley, the unprecedented performance of CPI(M) has gone unreported.

It may be recalled here that CPI(M) leader, M Y Tarigami has won the Kulgam assembly constituency for five consecutive terms.

Today’s results are an indication that Tarigami continues to be a force to reckon with.

Meanwhile, CPI(M) leader, M Y Tarigami today said that he and his party is humbled by the support and faith people of Kulgam has reposed ‘on us.’

Tarigami tweeted: “People united shall always be victorious. We are humbled by the support and faith people of Kulgam have reposed on us. We felicitate all the winning candidates and salute those who could not make it this time”.
