Dir Agri Kmr reviews status of CSSs, Capex budget

SRINAGAR: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri today reviewed the physical and financial achievements of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) and Capex budget.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director stressed upon the senior officers of the department to work in a mission mode for achieving cent percent target both physical and financial under Capex as well as Centrally Sponsored Schemes within the stipulated time.

He directed the participating officers to ensure that the budgetary allocations to their respective districts under different schemes and projects are utilized judiciously. He also said that the need of the hour is to identify and explore Agri-based sectors to harness the impact in terms of economy and employment.

Stressing on maintaining close coordination among allied departments for achieving the desired results, the Director advocated for close monitoring, effective implementation of reforms at all levels.

Qadiri impressed upon the officers to educate the farmers regarding advanced farm mechanization to improve the lives of farmers and directed them to develop a road map for introducing farm mechanization.

Among others, Joint Director Agriculture Extension, Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal, Joint Director Agriculture Inputs, Amir-Ud-Din Andrabi, Project Coordinator Mushrooms, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Joint Director Engineering, M.I.Khateeb, Deputy Director Central, Chief Agriculture Officers of all districts attended the meeting.
