JAMMU: State Election Commissioner, K.K Sharma today condoled the demise of Mohammad Iqbal Naik, Teacher High School Sarachi, resident of Khari, Banihal who was appointed as Presiding Officer for District Development Council Constituency, 05- Gool for Polling Station Kharpora.
The Presiding Officer lost his life in a road accident near Ramban while travelling to attend his official duties.
State Election Commissioner, while addressing a press conference, commended his dedication to his duties and also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. He also expressed sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family members.
A two minutes silence was also observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
