His family had been looking for him since. “Today morning he was found dead in his native village,” said the report.

A senior police official said they are ascertaining details and further investigation has been taken up to find the cause of the boy’s death.

According to the family members, the boy Burhan Ahmad, son of Hilal Ahmad Najar, had gone missing when he was playing around his house. “We made announcements on loudspeakers and searched for our son everywhere till late in the night, but couldn’t find him anywhere. Today morning we found him dead at the place where we had already searched for him,” they said.

The family members of the deceased boy appealed the district administration to intervene in the incident and conduct a probe into the child’s death.
