DDC Kishtwar reviews progress on PMDP, languishing projects

KISHTWAR: District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Kumar Sharma today reviewed the status of works under languishing projects and the Pradhan Mantri Development Projects (PMDP) here at a meeting of heads of the line departments.

Joint Director Planning, Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development  Kishtwar, Kishore Singh Katoch; DGM JKPCC, Raman Sahni; Chief Education Officer, Ashok Kumar; Executive Officer Municipal Council Tariq Balwan; Executive Engineers of PWD,PDD,PHE besides the representatives of  line departments attended the meeting.

The DDC took work-wise physical and financial review of progress on projects undertaken by different departments under the languishing project and PMDP schemes.

Besides, he also assessed the status of technical sanctioning, administrative approval and tendering progress of several projects.

The meeting also highlighted the challenges faced by the departments in smooth implementation of certain projects.

The DDC asked the concerned officers and officials to accelerate the pace of progress on all projects so that these could be completed in time bound manner. He instructed the executing agencies to ensure utilization of funds in full for completion of all pending languishing works by or before the stipulated time period.

Besides he also directed the heads of   the concerned agencies to submit the action taken report to his office on the Weekly basis for effective monitoring. He further stressed on the inter-departmental coordination in the effective and efficient completion of the developmental works.
