BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 23: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today convened a meeting here, to discuss various modalities and measures for the effective and better implementation of Mission Youth- J&K.

On the occasion, a thorough discussion on several aspects of youth engagement was held wherein it was deliberated upon the concerned to ensure effective implementation of the programme.

The DC said that, under this programme District Youth Services shall be established where different facilities viz library and video conference room, counseling/mentorship, high fidelity Wi Fi among other necessary amenities shall be provided to the youth.

He stressed upon the concerned officers to work in coordination and said that skill development initiatives are being given due concentration for enhancing the employability of the unemployed youth.

The Mission Youth- J&K is an ambitious programme to nurture the capabilities and potential of youth through the intervention of appropriate and common platforms where all the activities of youth development are carried out for better and positive results.
