 ‘Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration’ forged for restoration of J&K’s special status

Srinagar: Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) today announced the list of 27 candidates contesting DDC elections in the second phase.

After threadbare discussions, arguments and counter-arguments, the parties came up with a list wherin only one seat has been shown as “disputed” as CPI(M) expressed dissent about the segment.

As per the list issued by PAGD, out of 27 seats, PDP and NC have got 8 each; PC will contest on 5; Congress on 3; JKPM on 2 and ANC on 1.

Pombay, a DDC segment in Kulgam district, which has gone to the kitty of PDP, has been opposed by the CPI(M).
