Internet services snapped in parts of Kashmir; restrictions to remain in force on Sunday

Kupwara: The mobile Internet services continued to remain suspended for the second consecutive day on Saturday in police district Kupwara in north Kashmir.

The services were suspended soon after the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) on Friday.

According to the news agency KNO, authorities suspended mobile Internet services in police district Kupwara yesterday afternoon after the cross-border shelling created panic in parts of Kupwara. The services remained snapped on Saturday as well.

A senior police officer said that Internet service was suspended as a precautionary measure in the district.
