67th Cooperative week-long celebration begins in Anantnag

Anantnag: The 67th cooperative week-long celebration commenced in district Anantnag on Saturday.

The district level function, organised by the Super Bazar Anantnag, was held under strict compliance to the COVID-19 SOPs.

The function was presided over by G. M. Kolay, General Manager Super Bazar Anantnag.

The function among others was attended by the Chairman of Managing Committee Super Bazar Anantnag as a chief Guest, Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies Block Qaimoh, field functionaries of the district Anantnag and staff members of the super Bazar Anantnag.

The Manager of the Super Bazar Anantnag in his welcome address highlighted the achievements of the Super Bazar Anantnag.

The Manager informed that the institution is offering rebate on medicincs 5% and on surgical items @50% During the year 20l9-20 an amount of Rs.19.90 lakh has been offered as rebate on Medicine and surgical goods by the fair price medical shop operational in the premises of Disirict Hospital Janglat Mandi Anantnag and upto October 2020 rebate of Rs 8.00 lakh was provided to the customers.

The business turnover of the institution for current year as on date is Rs.199.00 lakh which is higher than last year of Rs 190.00 lakh for the corresponding period and the increase in business occurred in the month of October 2020.

The Assistant Registrar C/S Qaimoh highlighted the importance of Cooperative Education and Training and emphasized that same should be introduced in the all the Cooperative institution. The Chairman shared his experience as a cooperator and briefed about some of the historical events of some cooperative institutions.

The General Manager in his speech expressed and highlighted the present economic scenario of cooperative sector and its sustainability in the competitive edge. He also stressed its contribution towards all round development in diversified activities.
