565 new COVID-19 cases take tally in J&K to 1,02,159

Srinagar: The COVID-19 death toll in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 1,580 on Saturday with six more fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours, while 565 new cases pushed the infection tally 1,02,159, officials said.

Of the fresh cases, 306 were from Kashmir Valley and 259 from Jammu division, they said.

The officials said Srinagar district recorded the highest of 152 cases, followed by 91 in Jammu.

There are 5,728 active cases, while 94,851 people have recovered from the disease so far, the officials said.

Meanwhile, the UT reported six COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, all from the Kashmir Valley.

Giving district-wise breakup, the officials said that Srinagar has 21306 positive cases (including 152 cases reported today) with 1571 Active Positive, 19344 recovered (including 118 cases recovered today), 391 deaths; Baramulla has 6859 positive cases (including 45 cases reported today) with 706 Active Positive, 5996 recovered (including 83 cases recovered today), 157deaths; Pulwama reported 4840 positive cases (including 08 case reported today) with 120 active positive cases, 4636 recovered (including 14 cases recovered today), 84 deaths; Kulgam has 2546 positive cases (including 03 case reported today) with 76 Active Positive, 2422 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today), 48 deaths; Shopian has 2279 positive cases (including 06 case reported today) with 94 Active Positive, 2149 recovered  and 36 deaths; Anantnag district has 4417 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 233 Active Positive, 4109 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today), 75 deaths;  Budgam has 6428 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 298 Active Positive and 6034 recovered (including 39 cases recovered today), 96 deaths; Kupwara has 4808 positive cases (including 29 cases reported today) with 463 Active Positive, 4267 recovered (including 11 cases recovered today), 78 deaths; Bandipora has 4224 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 173 Active Positive, 4003 recovered (including 07 cases recovered today), 48 deaths and Ganderbal has 3921 positive cases (including 25 cases reported today) with 324 active positive cases, 3561 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today)and 36 deaths.

They further said that Jammu has 18935 positive cases (including 91 cases reported today) with 604 active positive cases, 18055 recoveries (including 95 cases recovered today), 276 deaths; Rajouri has 3316 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 106 active positive cases, 3162 recovered (including 06 cases recovered today), 48 deaths; Ramban has 1741 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 96 active positive, 1627 recoveries (including 0 cases recovered today) and 18 deaths; Kathua has 2598 positive cases (including 20 cases reported today) with 83 Active positive, 2482 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 33 deaths; Udhampur has 3001 positive cases (including 41 cases reported today) with 260 active positive cases, 2706 recovered (including 08 cases recovered today) and 35 deaths; Samba has 2263 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 89 Active Positive, 2149 recoveries (including 0 cases recovered today) and 25 deaths; Doda has 2806 positive cases (including 26 cases reported today) with 119 active positive cases, 2637 recoveries (including 14 cases recovered today), 50 deaths; Poonch has 2343 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 83 active positive, 2482 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today), 22 deaths; Reasi has 1367 positive cases with 78 active positive, 1281 recoveries  and 08 deaths while Kishtwar has 2161 positive cases (including 25  cases reported today) with 147 active positive cases and 1998 recoveries (including 37 cases recovered today) and 16 deaths.
