Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday recorded 532 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths, raising the tally to 98,337 and the number of fatalities to 1,528, officials said.

Out of the fresh cases, 208 were from the Jammu division and 324 from the Kashmir Valley, they said.

The officials said Srinagar district recorded the highest of 132 cases, followed by 96 in Jammu.

There are 5,584 active cases as of now in the UT, while 91,225 patients have recovered, the officials said.

The UT reported six COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours – four from the Kashmir Valley, and one from the Jammu division, they said.

They also said 688 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged from various hospitals including 254 from Jammu Division and 434 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily media bulletin, out of 98337 positive cases, 5584  are currently active positive, 91,225 have recovered and 1528 have died — 515 in Jammu division and 1013 in Kashmir division thus far.

The bulletin further said that out of 24,61,279 test results available, 23,62,942 samples have tested as negative till November 07, 2020.

Till date, it said 6,66,639 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 15,430 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 5584 in isolation and 43,265 in home surveillance. Besides, 6,00,832 persons have completed their surveillance period.
