Tangmarg: A single-storey residential house, located in Hard Madam Tangmarg, belonging to Bashir Ahmad Pala son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Pala suffered heavy damage in a fire incident on Tuesday.
According to locals, another house belonging to Ghulam Hassan Pala son of Abdul Ahad Pala was partially damaged in the fire incident.
“As soon as the fire broke out in the house of Bashir Ahmad Pala, the locals informed the fire service Tangmarg and the fire was brought under control before it could have spread to other houses,” they said.
The locals demanded immediate relief in favour of the fire-affected families and requested the District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. GN Itoo, to remove the obstruction of the Forest Department on Kahipura-Madam Road.
