Srinagar, Nov 03: Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday lost twelve more persons to COVID-19 even as 478 new cases took the infections tally to 96,188, officials said.

The union territory reported 12 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours – eight from the Kashmir Valley, and four from the Jammu division, taking the death toll 1,502, the officials said.

Out of the fresh cases, 195 were reported from the Jammu division and 283 from the Kashmir Valley, they said.

The officials said Srinagar district recorded the highest of 111 cases, followed by 106 in Jammu.

There are now 5,968 active cases in the UT, while 88,718 patients have recovered, they said.

Giving district-wise breakup, the officials said that Srinagar has 19703 positive cases (including 111 cases reported today) with 1357 Active Positive, 17980 recovered (including 102 cases recovered today), 366 deaths; Baramulla has 6228 positive cases (including 66 cases reported today) with 1388 Active Positive, 4694 recovered (including 72 cases recovered today), 146 deaths; Pulwama reported 4714 positive cases (including 14 case reported today) with 210 active positive cases, 4421 recovered (including 15 cases recovered today), 83 deaths; Kulgam has 2495 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 79 Active Positive, 2368 recoveries (including 12 cases recovered today), 48 deaths; Shopian has 2223 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 93 Active Positive, 2095 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today) and 35 deaths; Anantnag district has 4266 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 189 Active Positive, 4003 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 74 deaths;  Budgam has 6070 positive cases (including 32 cases reported today) with 244 Active Positive and 5732 recovered (including 48 cases recovered today), 94 deaths; Kupwara has 4518 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 404 Active Positive, 4041 recovered (including 15 cases recovered today), 73 deaths; Bandipora has 4075 positive cases (including 16 cases reported today) with 181 Active Positive, 3848 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 46 deaths and  Ganderbal has 3607 positive cases (including 21 cases reported today) with 202 active positive cases, 3371 recoveries (including 13 cases recovered today) and 34 deaths.

In Jammu division, officials said, Jammu district has 17890 positive cases (including 106 cases reported today) with 683 active positive cases, 16947 recoveries (including 118 cases recovered today), 260 deaths; Rajouri has 3214 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 62 active positive cases, 3104 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 48 deaths; Ramban has 1611 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 74 active positive, 1522 recoveries and 15 deaths; Kathua has 2468 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 58 Active positive, 2379 recovered (including 13 cases recovered today), 31 deaths; Udhampur has 2744 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 124 active positive cases, 2588 recovered (including 04 cases reported today) and 32 deaths; Samba has 2187 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 228 Active Positive, 1934 recoveries and 25 deaths; Doda has 2670 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 81 active positive cases, 2542 recoveries (including 27 cases recovered today), 47 deaths; Poonch has 2267 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 146 active positive, 2099 recoveries (including 34 cases reported today), 22 deaths; Reasi has 1289 positive cases with 83 active positive, 1198 recoveries and 08 deaths while Kishtwar has 1949 positive cases (including 23 cases reported today) with 82 active positive cases and 1852 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 15 deaths.
