Anantnag: In a friendly cricket match played between DDC 11 and DYSS 11 at sports stadium Anantnag, DDC 11 registered a comprehensive 9 wicket victory over DYSS 11.
Batting first, DYSS 11 scored 124 runs in the allotted 20 overs. The target was chased down easily by DDC 11 in 15 overs.
Suhail was the top scorer with 55 runs while as Gowher Salam chipped in with 46 runs. DDC 11 was led by Assistant Commissioner Anantnag Syed Yasir.
The match was organised by Distict Youth Services and Sports Anantnag in coordination with District Administration Anantnag with an aim to inculcate sportsmanship and leadership spirit among the employees and to channelize the energy and potential of the youth of the District towards positive activities.
DYSS officer was also present on the occasion and he felicitated the players. Spectators watching the match lauded the efforts of Dist administration and DYSS for organising such events.
