The statement said that the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee in a meeting of prominent party workers of Dooru Veerinag expressed serious concern over the current deteriorating security situation in valley and urged the govt to take effective measures to ensure congenial atmosphere, besides adequate security to political persons irrespective of their party affiliations to ensure their safety.

JKPCC President G. A. Mir presided over the meeting and flayed the Centre Govt for current situation in J&K, which has become victim of experiments and wrong policies adopted by it (Centre).

“Inspite of taking effective measures to address the anger and anguish of the people, the BJP Govt is bringing laws after laws by enacting different stories, which has dismayed the people in J&K and Ladakh, who equally feel cheated and betrayed by the centre,” G. A. Mir said.

He, as per the statement, said that BJP is beating the drums of development  aiming to  divert the attention of the people from real issues.

“The  fact of the matter is BJP is trying hard to hide it’s failures under the garb of development, which is nowhere and has become a distant dream for the people of J&K, who are facing severe economic crisis due to the depressing situation post August 5 2019,” he said.

He said that Congress Party has started signature campaign against the Anti Kissan Bills across the country and will continue to fight for the peoples’ rights, adding, Centre must focus on the development and other issues concerning people and take measures to address them, besides ensuring adequate security to political persons to ensure the safety of their lives.
