‘National Integration Day’ observed across Kashmir

SRINAGAR: National Integration Day was today observed across the Kashmir valley to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

To commemorate the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel a pledge taking ceremony was held in the lawns of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal, wherein District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal administered oath among district officers and took pledge to dedicate themselves and their services to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and to strive hard to spread this message among the fellow countrymen.

Similar programme was held at Bandipora where Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad administered pledge to the officers at Conference Hall Mini Secretariat Bandipora that was attended by all the district Officers and officials. The participants pledged to dedicate themselves to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among fellow countrymen.

The National Unity Day was also observed across all the Sub-Divisions and Tehsil headquarters of the district with great fervor that witnessed participation of a large gathering of officials.

In Kulgam pledge ceremony was held at mini-Secretariat Kulgam where District Development Commissioner Showkat Aijaz Bhat, administered oath among officers and all participants  to dedicate themselves and their services  to uphold and preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and to strive hard to spread this message among the fellow countrymen.

Also, in Pulwama, a grand function was today organised at DC office complex  Pulwama, to celebrate birth anniversary of Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, also, commemorated as ‘National Integration Day’ where Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer administered oath to the participants.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC highlighted the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in upholding the National Unity. He said the leader worked on national integration and devoted his life to the nation. He emphasized that there should be the spirit of unification among us to ensure unity, integrity and security of the nation.

The oath ceremony was attended by all the officers and officials of district administration and members of civil society.

Meanwhile, ‘Rastriya Ekta Divas’/ ‘National Unity Day’ was also held at District Budgam to celebrate 145th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Walabhai Patel.

On the occasion, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Budgam Dr. Nasir Ahmad on behalf of District Administration administered a pledge to all district/Sectoral and zonal officers to work for unity and integrity of the nation. He urged upon all to deliver services with zeal and zest and demonstrate dedication and honesty while performing duty and implementing decisions.

The event was also attended by GM DIC Budgam and ACR Budgam as well.
