October : In the memory of Police martyrs and to pay rich tributes to them, Awantipora Police today under the banner of “Police Martyr’s Memorial Sports Festival” organized a cultural programme at Police Lines Awantipora.
Various Singers, Artists, Cultural Troupes, Dancers etc participated in the cultural programme. At the outset of the programme, one minute silence was observed to remember the courage and valor of our brave martyrs who have laid their lives for the unity and integrity of the Nation as well as in protecting the life and property of the people.
Various artists performed a skit, sung Kashmir/Pahari song and Special Patriotic Song. The programme was witnessed by respectable citizens from the vicinity of Police Lines Awantipora.
At the end of the cultural programme, SSP Awantipora distributed cash rewards and certificates among various participants. SSP Awantipora also thanked the artists, media persons and the people who joined and made the programme successful.
