JAMMU : Advisor to Lieutenant Governor K K Sharma today inaugurated two Skill development courses at ICICI Academy for Skills.

The Courses have been launched in collaboration with Jammu Smart City Limited and Government Polytechnic for Women Shakti Nagar.

Deputy Commissioner Jammu, (CEO Jammu Smart City Limited), Sushma Chauhan, Regional Head ICICI Bank, Kuldeep Raj Gupta and other staff members of the Institute were present on the occasion.

Giving details of the courses, the concerned officials informed that two courses namely Office Administration and Selling Skills, and Electric & Home appliances have been introduced to benefit the local candidates.  Fifteen candidates will be trained in Official Administration and Selling Skills, while 13 students would be trained in Electric and Home appliances course.

It was further informed that the twin courses would run for 3 months free of cost and every student will get 100 percent placement after completion of the course.

It was informed that over 240 students will be trained every year by the Academy.

On the occasion, the Advisor along with DC visited each block of the Academy and inquired about the facilities. They also visited Classrooms, Lab, activity area, cafeteria and other blocks. The Advisor also interacted with the students and asked them to learn good skills during these courses for their better future.
