Advisor Baseer Ahmad Khan visits Aishmuqam town and pays homage to Zain-ud-din Wali’s (RA) Shrine

ANANTNAG :  In connection with  LGs ambitious programme My Town My Pride, the Advisor to LG, Baseer Ahmad Khan alongwith DDC, Anantnag, K.K.Sidha today visited Aishmuqam town and also the shrine of Zain-ud-din Wali (RA).

MD. SIDCO,  Mohammad Haroon Malik & visiting officer, members of Municipal Committee Aishmuqam and officials of District and Police Administration Anantnag were also present on the occasion.

While addressing the officials and public Advisor Khan said that the government is committed to bring governance to the doorstep that is why programmes like B2V and My Town My Pride heve been  started in UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

He stressed on the public to ensure their registration in various  welfare oriented Government Schemes so that 100% saturation of these schemes is achieved.He further added that people should associate themselves with plan formulation at local level which is the sole motto of participative governance.

Advisor Khan during his visit laid the foundation stone of 0.5km road from Pemdar to Kharteng via Ziyarat Chowk of Aishmuqam. He also inaugurated TFC developed by PDA near Sumo stand Aishmuqam. During the said programme various demands were raised for the betterment of Aishmuqam and adjacent area which included  making Ashmuqam a heritage town , special package for Aishmuqam pilgrimage, Degree College, Sub-District Hospital, beautification of bank side of Shahkul, macadamization of interior roads, sports stadium, repair of temple, construction of 04 community halls & road from sallar Baghwani Aishmuqam, introduction of various subjects in Higher Secondary School & post office for Aishmuqam.

Advisor  Khan also distributed sports kits among youth of Aishmuqam town and also gave  cheques under PMAY Scheme among 11 beneficiaries. Further he distributed table tennis equipments among 28 Higher Secondary Schools.

Advisor appreciated the mass participation of people in this programme and urged upon the people to participate in such kind of programmes for raising and redressal of their demands and problems.
