Pulwama: Suspected militants on Thursday evening shot at a former militant in Kakapora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Officials said that an ex-militant identified as Tanveer Ahmad Sofi (30), son of Ghulam Muhammad Sofi of Sofi Mohalla Kakapora was shot at by unidentified gunmen near J&K Bank Kakapora.
He received bullet injuries and was shifted to hospital for treatment where his condition is said to be critical.
Officials said that he was affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and had later surrendered.
