JK Police’s ‘Pedal for Peace’ event promotes youth engagement: Advisor Bhatnagar

SRINAGAR : Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today said that sports activities like ‘Pedal for Peace’ promote sports, connects community, constructive youth engagement and promotes unity and peace.

Advisor Bhatnagar made these comments while gracing the occasion of award ceremony for Sub Junior Boys/Girls and Veteran Men category of Pedal for Peace event organised by District Police Srinagar at Botanical Garden here.

The Advisor further said that events like this create awareness regarding sporting activities in our society and we should make fitness part of our daily routine.

Complimenting J&K Police for organising such events, Advisor Bhatnagar said that J&K Police has always been at the forefront in organising sporting events for youth and for their all round development. He commended the role of J&K Police in constructive youth engagement.

On the occasion, Advisor Bhatnagar distributed prizes among the winners of the sub junior and veteran categories of the Pedal for Peace event. He congratulated the winners and commended the participants for their enthusiasm and sporting spirit.

DGP, J&K, Dilbag Singh; SSP Srinagar, Dr. Haseeb Mughal; senior officers of police and large number of locals were also present on the occasion.
