Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) president Javaid Mustufa Mir called on National Conference president and Member Parliament Dr. Farooq Abdullah today at his Gupkar residence in Srinagar and extended JKPM’s support to ‘Gupkar Declaration’.
While interacting with the NC president, Mir appreciated Abdullah’s call for forging unity for the restoration of J&K’s special status which was “unilaterally, unconstitutionally and undemocratically” abrogated on 5th of August, 2019, NC said in a press release.
It said the JKPM leader discussed various facets of unprecedented development that took place last year on 5th of August and its far-reaching repercussions on the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the occasion, Mir accorded full support to the Gupkar Declaration and the efforts of NC president for the restoration of J&K’s special status, the press release said.
