Jan Abhiyan: Individual benefit services paced up in district Doda

DODA : The individual benefit services have been paced up during the ongoing Jan Abhiyan program in the district owing to the enormous response of the people.

In the last 4 days, the RDD department has released Rs 256.54 lakh to clear the pending MGNREGA Wages/ payments in the district directly into the  accounts of Job card holders, besides taking up near 181 new works  under the flagship job oriented scheme.

The Revenue department has issued 4365 Domicile Certificates in the last 7 days and the process of issuance is on and is being daily monitored by the DDC.

Meanwhile, on the directions of the DDC the Social Welfare department has also expedited the sanctioning of new pension cases in favour of the eligible beneficiaries and cleared 1339 new cases under different pension schemes. The Department has also received 130 new applications from the left out beneficiaries.

As per the officials of District Industries department, around 30 new applications have been received for availing PMEGP scheme and 6 new cases were sanctioned by the Department under Jan Abhiyan program.

As per the Agriculture department, several dozen Soil Health cards were distributed in each block, while 53 farmers have been registered for availing the subsidy on purchase of Farm machinery. Apart from this, corrections/rectification/Aadhaar seeding and registration   of eligible persons under PM Kisan is being done on war footing basis. The pendency of KCC cases at different bank levels are also being cleared on priority basis.

For effective public grievance redress, a separate monitoring cell has been established in the DC office to maintain the record of the issues raised by the general public, while several of them are addressed by the concerned on the spot.
