Progress under languishing projects, B2V1 reviewed at Ganderbal

GANDERBAL : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting to review the progress registered under languishing projects and B2V1 works in the district.

The DDC reviewed physical as well as financial achievements registered by executing agencies under languishing projects in the district and sought sector wise details from the concerned officers

Detailed discussions were held on the issues hampering the progress on languishing projects that are under execution of several agencies including JKPCC, SICOP, Jal Shakti, R&B and Housing Board.

While reviewing the progress of projects executed by R&B, the SE R&B informed the meeting that 12 projects are approved under languishing scheme out of which 4 projects have been completed and other projects are at different stages of completion.

He directed the concerned officers to expedite the pace of work to complete all ongoing projects in a time bound manner and directed them to ensure regular field visits to monitor the ongoing projects.

Scheme wise timeline was fixed to ensure the completion of the languishing projects within the stipulated time frame.

Meanwhile, the DDC also reviewed the progress of works approved under B2V1, the meeting was informed that most of works approved under B2V1 are completed besides work on ongoing projects is in full swing.

The DC exhorted upon the concerned that the works approved under B2V1 should be completed till the end of this month.

The meeting was attended by ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ACD,CPO, SE R&B,CMO, CEO, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, I&FC and PDD, besides DPO and others concerned.
