Rajouri: A soldier was killed and two others including an army major were injured as India and Pakistan troops exchanged fire along the Line of Control in Rajouri district.
Official sources told GNS that three soldiers of 17 Madras were injured after Pakistani army fired at them in “violation of the ceasefire agreement” in Mala area of Sunderbani Sector.
Sources said that while the Rifleman A Thomas succumbed at a local hospital, the Major and the Havildar were shifted to Military Hospital Akhnoor for further treatment.
The injured were identified as Major Kambley and Havildar Mahender.
