Srinagar: The total number of Covid-19 positive cases reached 56654 in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday with 1329 persons detected infected – 741 from Jammu and 588 from Kashmir division.

Officials said that the UT reported 19 virus related deaths, 14 from Jammu and 05 from Kashmir division.

“Out of 56654 positive cases, 18678 are Active Positive, 37062 have recovered and 914 have died; 174 in Jammu division and 740 in Kashmir division,” said the officials.

However, a local news agency GNS put the death toll at 916.

They said that 1270310 test results available, 1213656 samples have been tested as negative till September 15, 2020.

Officials said that Srinagar reported 148 positive cases today; Baramulla, 20; Pulwama, 70; Kulgam, 15; Shopian, 11; Anantnag, 57; Budgam, 127; Kupwara, 43; Bandipora, 38 and; Ganderbal has recorded 59 cases today.

Rest of the 741Covid-19 positive cases were reported from Jammu division.
