JK Health Insurance Scheme: SHA holds consultation with private hospitals

JAMMU : The State Health Agency (SHA) J&K today hosted an online workshop for the registered private hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir for the empanelment under recently approved Jammu Kashmir Health Insurance Scheme.

The scheme in convergence with Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) will provide Health Insurance Cover of Rs 5 lakh/family/year to all the residents of UT, including serving and retired employees.

Detailed deliberations about the empanelment of private health care providers were held by SHA.

Over 30 non-empaneled private health-care providers participated in the workshop.

Chief Executive Officer, SHA, Bhupinder Kumar urged the participating Hospital administrators to come forward and join this scheme. He assured the participants that SHA, J&K shall provide all possible assistance/facilitation during and after the empanelment.

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir announced the Health Insurance Scheme which will cover around 15 lakh households, not covered under AB-PMJAY. The same benefits as existing under AB-PMJAY shall be extended to the rest of the residents.
