Srinagar: The number of people tested positive for Covid-19 today has slightly come down from the numbers of past few days but it still remains in four digits.

Officials on Monday said that 1013 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19) – 600 from Jammu and 413 from Kashmir division, were been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 44570.

Jammu district reported the highest 442 cases, followed by 136 in Srinagar district, said officials.

The officials said that out of 44570 positive cases, 11009 are active positive, 32760 have recovered and 801 have died; 105 in Jammu division and 696 in Kashmir division.

However, independent sources said that the death toll has already crossed 814.

“Out of 1088652 test results available, 1044082 samples have been tested as negative till September 07, 2020,” said the officials.

Providing district-wise breakup, the officials said that Srinagar has 1400 active positive cases; Baramulla, 604; Pulwama, 509; Kulgam, 126; Shopian, 114; Anantnag, 563; Budgam, 755; Kupwara, 726; Bandipora, 702 and; Ganderbal, 437 active positive cases in Kashmir division.

Similarly, Jammu has 3386 active positive cases; Rajouri, 214; Ramban, 51; Kathua, 307; Udhampur, 278; Samba, 249; Doda, 159; Poonch, 166; Reasi, 117  and; Kishtwar, 146 active positive cases.
