Srinagar: The tally of Covid-19 infected people reached 38223 as 525 new positive cases were reported today – 284 from Kashmir and 241 from Jammu division.

Officials said that 29484 infected people have recovered so far including 358 from Kashmir and 111 from Jammu division.

They further said that out of 38223 positive cases, only 8022 are active positive.

“Out of 978882 test results available till date, 940659 samples have been tested as negative,” said the officials.

Officials said that Srinagar reported 95 positive cases today and 154 recoveries; Baramulla, 14 cases with 43 recoveries; Pulwama, 36 cases and 14 recoveries; Kulgam, 09 fresh cases and 21 recoveries; Shopian, 02 cases reported today and 29 recoveries; Anantnag, fresh 26 cases and 18 recoveries; Budgam reported 17 new cases and 23 recoveries; Kupwara, 23 cases, 06 cases recoveries; Bandipora, 28 fresh cases and 27 recoveries and;  Ganderbal reported 34 fresh cases of Covid-19 and also 23 recoveries.

Meanwhile, the toll of deaths due to Coronavirus has mounted to 722 in Jammu and Kashmir 10 more patients succumbed to the deadly virus.

An official told KNO that ten patients who died include a 70-year-old man from Eidgah  Srinagar, a 68-year-old woman from Ganitan Sumbal Bandipora, a 55-year-old man from HMT Srinagar, a 66-year-old woman from Mansbal Ganderbal, a 50-year-old man from Wisalpora Budgam, a 65-year-old woman from Mitrigam Pulwama, a 40-year-old man from HMT Srinagar, a 25-year-old man from Machil Kupwara, an 84-year-old patient from Subash Nagar Jammu  and a 67-year-old man from Samba.
