Srinagar: The Shopian Panch and Sarpanch Association has demanded immediate release of former MLA and PDP leader Aijaz Ahmed Mir.
In a statement issued here, the Shopian Panch and Sarpanch Association said Mir has emerged from a gross root worker who has worked tirelessly for the welfare of people
“Keeping him in detention is injustice to the society he belongs to and thousands of his people in his constituency he represented”, they said.
“There is no logic in keeping him under detention. What purpose will it serve? We fail to understand the logic behind it,” they said and demanded his immediate release.
