S&F Memorial Tournament Ist Semi-final: Wanigam Blues won by 23 runs

Wanigam: In the first Semi-final match of S&F Memorial Tournament, Wanigam blues beat Malikpora by 23 runs on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Malikpora won the toss and opted to bowl first. Batting first, Wanigam Blues lost 5 wickets in quick succession and managed to score 67 for the loss of 5 wickets in 10 overs. Captain Tawseef played sensibly and help his team to set a target of 172 runs, in allotted 20 overs, for Malikpora.

The leading scorer for Wanigam Blues was Tawseef who scored 35 runs. Tanvir scored 33 runs and Basit managed to score 28 runs.

In reply, Malikpora lost their first wicket in the first over of the match. And then Feroz managed to build a partnership of 45 runs. In the end, Wanigam Blues won the match by 23 runs and entered into the finals.

JD Aijaz received Best Player of the Match Ward for picking up two wickets and conceded just 22 runs in 4 overs.
