First ever e-Auction of spare items held in J&K by Agri Deptt

JAMMU : The Directorate of Agriculture Jammu conducted first ever eAuction of left over items through www.eauction.gov.in Government of India portal for promoting transparency and fair competition among all the stakeholders.

As per the Directorate Agriculture, it was the first ever e-Auction conducted in UT of J&K.

The e- auction for Leftover/Surplus seeds and Unserviceable Gunny Bags was conducted by the Directorate of Agriculture Jammu, under the supervision of Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs) Anil Nargotra.

The pioneer distinction of holding Multilot and Single lot e Auctions was achieved through tremendous support extended by   Scientist F, Saleem Khan and  Scientist E, D D Gupta of NIC and their team of Senior Programmers Deepak Bajaj and  Sumit Kapoor.

Before conducting eAuction, a committee was constituted for fixing of basic minimum auction price headed by K K Sharma (Agriculture Economist), which recommended a hike of 25% from the last years auctioned price. In all 25 lots of Leftover/Surplus seeds as Multilot Auction and Unserviceable Gunny Bags as Single Lot Auction was put on the portal from 20 to 21 August. After successful completion of eAuction, there would be realisation of more than 26-27% revenue from the last year in case of Left over Seeds and 50% more revenue than the basic auction price offered in case of Unserviceable Gunny bags.
