JKTDC retired employees demand release of their arrears
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar: Demanding release of their arrears, a delegation of retired employees of Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development (JKTDC) Wednesday held a demonstration outside the office of Managing Director (MD) in Srinagar.

They alleged that their arrears including 7th Pay Commission arrears, gratuity and other pending salaries from January 01, 2016, are being deliberately delayed for the reasons best known to the concerned administration. The delegation told the media persons that their families are at the verge of starvation as they neither have any other source of income nor they are getting pension.

The retirees said that they have approached advisors and other senior officers several times to register their complaints, “but the administration is not paying any heed to our genuine demand and by doing so the government is doing injustice with those who have served the corporation in difficult times”.

The retirees further alleged that some officers in the corporation have released 7th Pay Commission arrears in favour of some employees.

The delegation appealed Lt Governor to intervene and get the arrears released in their favour at the earliest.
