Number of Covid-19 patients crosses 25000 in J&K

Srinagar: The tally of Covid-19 positive cases has reached 25367 in Jammu and Kashmir, as 470 fresh cases of infection were reported today.

Officials said that 368 positive cases were reported from Kashmir while as 102 were reported from Jammu division.

The officials said that out of 25367 positive cases, 7514 are active positive, 17375 have recovered, adding, out of 725542 test results available, 700175 samples have been tested as negative till August 10, 2020.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded nine more Covid-19 related death taking the toll in UT to 485.

All the deaths were recorded from Kashmir division, KNO reported.

KNO report said that nine patients who died include a 47-year-old man from Rainawari, 45-year-old man from Palpora, Srinagar, 55-year-old man from Arampora, Ganderbal, 65-year-old woman from Budgam, 65-year- old man from Chidibugh Tral, 70-year-old woman from, Buchoo Tral, 85-year-old man from Palpora Kulgam, 78-year-old man from Safa Kadal Srinagar and a 60-year-old man from Shalimar Srinagar.

With nine more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached to 485 including 449 from Kashmir division and 35 from Jammu division.
