Bandipora: Jammu and Kashmir police Wednesday arrested three militant associates of different militant outfits in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

A senior police officer told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a cordon and search operation was launched by joint teams of security forces and Bandipora Police in various parts of the district.

“Three militant associates from various parts of the Bandipora district were arrested. Incriminating material was recovered from them,” the officer said. He said that trio were involved in serious offenses like, providing shelter, logistics support, and assistance to militants operating in district from time to time.

The officer further said that the arrested trio associates belonged to different militant outfits and have been identified as Abrar Gulzar, a resident Bagh, Bandipora, Muhammad Waqar, a resident of Chettibandi,Bandipora and Muneer Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Quil Muqam, Bandipora,” he told KNO.

He said that a case FIR number 74/2020 under section 16,18, 39UAPA, 7/27IA act have been registered in police station Bandipora and further Investigation of the case is going on.
