Baramulla: A lineman of Power Development Department (PDD) was electrocuted to death on Monday in Yaseen Colony Arampora Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Eyewitness Sajad Shah told Kashmir Images that he was shocked to see a man received massive electric shock while working on electric transformer at Yaseen colony Arampora Sopore.

“He was hooked up with sudden shock and died on spot as he was witching on the electric inks of the transformer,” he said.

The slain lineman identified as Sanaullah Dar from Seloo Sopore was linking High volt 11000 KV line with the transformer at Yaseen colony Arampora received an electric shock and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, Police Station Sopore has registered a case in this regard and started investigation into the matter.
