The Lt Governor observed that the Administration is making head-ways in addressing the mining issues in compliance with the Court and NGT directions.

In compliance with these directions, the Government has e-auctioned 119 mineral blocks, besides directions have already been passed for granting immediate short term mining permits at local levels involving Local Self Government to ensure that people do not suffer due to paucity of minor minerals, he added.

The Lt Governor further assured the members of the delegation that the genuine issues projected by them would be resolved at the earliest. He also urged the former Minister to continue his sustained endeavours for promoting public welfare.
