Srinagar: Two persons including a 20 year-old girl allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A 20-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide after consuming some poisonous substance at her home in Kehnoosa village of Bandipora today.
She was rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sopore, where she breathed her last, sources said.
After conducting legal and medical formalities, the body was handed over to the family for last rites. Police have taken cognizance of the case, officials said.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Naninara village of Sumbal in same district on Tuesday evening.
An official told KNO that a 22-year-old youth (name withheld) of Naninara village in Sumbal ended his life by hanging himself at his home this evening.
Family members immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, the official said.
