The protest was organized as Aam Admi Party’s nationwide campaign against BJP led centre’s decisions including subjective price hike in petrol and diesel products by 10 rupees per liter.

Protesters said the BJP government instead of providing respite to common people in India is busy taking anti people decisions amid Corona-Virus outbreak.

“It’s the government of India only that hiked fuel prices otherwise most of the other nations cut prices of petrol and diesel products given prevailing situation which arose out of the deadly pandemic,” Mohammad Yunis Naik, AAP Coordinator for Kashmir told reporters.

He said the government keeping in view the effect of Corona-Virus on economic structure of India should immediately rollback the prices of petrol and diesel products. He asked the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory administration to take pro people steps to avoid further crises in the valley.
