Residential house of three families gutted in fire in Tangmarg

Tangmarg: A double-story residential house was gutted and property worth lakhs of rupees was reduced to ashes in a fire that broke out in Rawathpora village of Tangmarg.

Witnesses said that fire engulfed the joint residential house of Ghulam Mohammad Lone and Nazir Ahmed son of Ghulam Rasool Lone of Rawathpora village in Tangmarg.

They said that a fire tender which was on way to douse the fire met an accident. “The fire service personnel in the vehicle miraculously survived.”

Locals said that by the time the fire service vehicle from Tangmarg reached the spot, the house had suffered huge damage.

The locals appealed the government to provide immediate relief and compensation to affected families.
