Lt Governor greets people on Nirjala Ekadashi, Acharya Shri Abhinavagupta Jayanti

JAMMU : Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu has extended his heartiest greetings to the people of J&K on the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi and Acharya Shree Abhinavaguptya Jayanti.

In his message, the Lt Governor said that Nirjala Ekadashi is celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir in several ways. On this day, people traditionally offer water and several accompaniments with prayers.

Acharya His Holiness Abhinavagupta ji’s Jayanti is also celebrated on Nirjala Ekadashi. Recently, his Sahastrabdi (1000th birth anniversary) was celebrated in the country. His teachings have been pivotal in the rich culture of Jammu and Kashmir, and have contributed for enrichment of the Nation.

‘On this day of Nirjala Ekadashi and Acharya Abhinavgupta Jayanti’, my best wishes to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, he said.
