Saurabh Bhagat reviews functioning of Labour dept’s helpline numbers

JAMMU: Commissioner Secretary Labour and Employment Saurabh Bahgat today reviewed the functioning of helpline numbers notified by the Labour Department to help and assist the migrant workers stranded in different parts of the country.

Labour Commissioner A R War was also present in the meeting.

The meeting decided that migrant workers stranded in different parts of the country can continue to access the following helpline numbers of Labour Department:

For returning to Kashmir division-Zameer-9797172356 and Showkat Shafi – 8899546373;

For returning to Jammu division – Sanjay Kumar Bhat, Labour Officer- 9419424281 Shivika Sharma, Labour Officer-7889663055.

In addition to above, following numbers have also been notified for help and assistance to the migrant workers of Jammu and Kashmir stranded in various parts of the country.

Jammu Division: Jammu-9419184847, Samba-9796432534, Kathua-7889498918, Udhampur- 9596634818, Reasi- 9797966636, Rajouri- 9596886346, Poonch- 7298490822, Doda-7889959803 , Kishtwar- 8803757709,Ramban- 7889399408

Kashmir Division: Srinagar- 9622746677, Budgam- 9697977487, Anantnaag- 9906774674, Pulwama- 6006011701 , Baramulla- 9906442760, Kupwara-9906708853, Bandipora- 9419169332, Kulgam- 9086571168, Shopian- 9018745412, Ganderbal- 9622273729.

Inter State Migrant Labourers presently in J&K shall contact the following numbers.

For Jammu Division: Raman Sharma, Labour Officer, (7006382985). Pawan Kumar Bhatti, Labour Officer (9419805327). Roshan Lal, Labour Officer, (9419211429).

For Kashmir Division: Ansar Ahmad, Inspector, 7006286174. Nawsheed Kumar Labour Inspector, 91499995267
