Baramulla: Body of a 40-year-old man was fished out from river Jehlum at Gantmulla Colony in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.

Officials said that the deceased had gone missing a week ago and his body was today found at a barrage gate of LJHP  Gantmulla Baramulla.

“The decomposed body of Ghulam Hassan Gojree, son of Abdul Rahim Gojree of Jamia Baramulla was fished out from River Jehlum at LJHP gate in Gantmulla Baramulla this afternoon,” a police officer said.

He confirmed that Gojree was missing from last week and investigation proceedings are underway to ascertain the circumstances resulting into his death.

“A case has been registered in this regard while further investigation has been taken up,” he said.
